Goli Otok – Macinj

5–25m Beginner

Just behind the island of Goli Otok lies the small islet of Macinj, offering an ideal dive site suitable for all levels of divers. The dive takes place along the northern side of the islet, where the seabed gently descends on all sides, forming slopes richly covered with marine vegetation.

The area boasts a remarkable diversity of fish species, ensuring a vibrant and lively underwater experience that never disappoints. Schools of fish move through the blue, while smaller reef inhabitants find shelter among the rocks and sea plants.

At a depth of 12 meters, a beautifully illuminated cave invites divers to explore its glowing interior, where natural light creates a captivating play of shadows. For those drawn to deeper waters and underwater photography, impressive groupers can often be found here – calm, majestic, and seemingly always ready to pose for the perfect shot.

Prvic – Tunnel

8–18m Intermediate

The northern side of the island of Prvic is a true hidden paradise for divers. Here, nature has once again demonstrated its creativity by carving an impressive tunnel straight through the rock, with an entrance at 18 meters and an exit at just 8 meters depth – creating a perfect blend of adventure and natural light.

Stretching approximately 25 meters in length, the tunnel is spacious and comfortable to navigate. As you glide through, beams of sunlight stream in from the shallower exit, creating magical light effects and an unforgettable atmosphere of weightless silence.

Upon emerging from the tunnel, divers are greeted by a stunning vertical wall teeming with life. The reef is adorned with vibrant gorgonians and sponges, while crabs hide within the crevices and groupers patrol their rocky territory. Schools of fish move gracefully along the wall, adding constant motion and color to this lively underwater scene.

Prvic – Silo

12–85m Advanced

On the southern side of the island of Prvic lies a stunning dive site, showcasing some of the richest coral and gorgonian formations found anywhere in the Adriatic Sea. This vibrant underwater habitat offers divers a rare glimpse into the Adriatic's colorful and diverse marine life.

The site is shaped like a pyramid, with its peak at around 12 meters depth and terraces that extend down to much greater depths. One side of the formation plunges dramatically to 85 meters, creating a deep and challenging environment. Due to its depth and structure, this location is best suited for advanced divers who are comfortable exploring deeper waters.

This dive site is particularly famous for its gorgonians, so dense in some areas that the seabed is completely hidden beneath them, stretching from 23 meters down to the deepest parts of the site. Among the gorgonians, larger species such as the black-bellied angler and moray eels can often be seen.

Rab – Medova Buža

0–4m Advanced

This dive site is truly special, as it is one of the rare locations in the Adriatic Sea where the elusive Mediterranean monk seal has been spotted – one of the most endangered marine mammals in the world.

The cave entrance begins at just 4 meters depth, which is also the maximum depth of the site. Although the shallow profile makes the location inherently safe in terms of depth, the dive itself remains demanding due to the overhead environment and confined spaces. For this reason, divers entering the cave must hold a special certification and possess appropriate training and experience.

From the entrance, the cave stretches approximately 60 meters inland, revealing a fascinating underground world shaped by nature over thousands of years. Inside, it is divided into four chambers. Three of them contain air pockets, allowing divers to surface and experience the extraordinary atmosphere within, while one chamber remains completely submerged.

The final chamber is particularly breathtaking, richly decorated with impressive stalactites and stalagmites that create a dramatic and almost mystical setting. And everything beyond that... remains a surprise waiting to be discovered.

Sv. Grgur – Canyon

3–23m Beginner

This dive site is known as Canyon – a name that perfectly describes its unique underwater formation. The canyon begins at just 3 meters depth and gradually descends to around 23 meters, creating a dramatic natural corridor beneath the surface. Its walls open on both sides, forming an impressive underwater passage that invites exploration.

From the shallow entrance down to its deeper sections, the canyon walls are beautifully covered with marine plants and a wide variety of organisms. The play of light filtering from above enhances the textures and colors of the reef, especially in the upper, sunlit part of the formation.

This location is particularly famous for its rich marine life. Divers frequently encounter various species of nudibranchs decorating the rocks with vivid colors, octopuses cleverly camouflaged among the crevices, and large schools of fish moving through the canyon, filling the space with motion and life.
